The service longevity depends on the usage of the watch and the environment in which it is worn. The water resistance can, for instance be affected by the ageing of the gaskets or by an accidental shock. Hence, we insist that you have the water resistance checked once a year and a complete service done every 5 to 8 years. Your KNS boutique or authorised service centre will be pleased to take care of your watch and answer your queries.

We give you a complete and guaranteed warranty on each intervention
We offer a complete and guaranteed warranty on the work carried out. In the act of a fault covered by this warranty, we will, at our autonomy and without cost, repair or replace any spare parts and/or resolve any faults as identified by our customer service. All other rights forming from the faulty execution of our services are expressly excluded. This warranty does not include normal wear and tear or damage inflicted by accidents, lack of care or negligence. This warranty is considered void if the work is carried out on the watch by persons who are not authorised to do so by KNS Watches in Trivandrum.
The steps of a complete service
The complete service instills the functional and the aesthetic ratio of the watch. It involves the dismantling, overhauling and replacement of all worn components in the movement.
Step 01
Disassembly of cases
The strap or bracelet is removed from the watch and the case is disassembled.
Step 02
Cleaning of the movement
The movement is taken away and each component is thoroughly cleansed in an ultrasonic bath.
Step 03
Replacing of worn components
Each component of the movement is detailed and examined. Worn components are replaced with original OMEGA parts. For movements void of a serial number, a technical upgrade to the latest movement version is done, if applicable.
Step 04
Reassembly and lubrication of the movement
The movement is carefully reassembled. The KNS certified watchmaker lubricates contact points employing all his skills and the best lubricants. This guarantees a stunning long-term performance of the movement.
Step 05
Adjustment of the movement and control of its parameters
The rate of the movement is adjusted and its operational parameters tariffed against KNS’s strict quality standard.
Step 06
Cleaning and refurbishment of the case and bracelet
The lustre of the case and metal bracelet is meticulously restored while safeguarding the native shape of each component.
Step 07
Reassembly of the case and renewal of the water resistance
The case is reassembled and all gaskets assuring the water resistance are replaced.
Step 08
Complete quality control
The functional and aesthetic aspects of the watch are contrasted against OMEGA’s regulatory quality standard.
Restoring a watch with a unique history

It needs the best service to pass its history to live on to the next generation. Our team of specialised restoration watchmakers functions exclusively in Biel, Switzerland. Their stellar know-how guarantees restoration work trustworthy to the original watch model for watches manufactured before 1940.
KNS has a large stock of components for the restoration of ancient watches. The specialised watchmaker retracts the original condition of worn components and in some cases, re-fabricates missing parts by hand.
We restore your restored timepiece in a special box along with the following documents:
– An attestation of restoration signed by the watchmaker in charge
– Before-after photos of the timepiece
– The extract of the archives corresponding to the watch (if available)
